I recently took a trip to New York, with my friend Darren, which came at the perfect time. Sometimes you just need a change of scenery. So here's what we did.
We arrived at the Roxy Hotel for check in. After checking in, we chilled for a bit, got dressed, and then headed to Cafeteria (@cafeterianyc) for dinner. If you travel often you know that airport food is trassssh, so we were excited to get a good meal. I had the meatloaf and it was delicious. After dinner, we headed to the Brooklyn Bridge to take photos, then met up with some friends for drinks.
We got the morning started with breakfast at a restaurant called Bubby's (@bubbys). I had the Abe Lincoln Breakfast, which was pretty tasty. Following breakfast, we literally, just roamed the streets in New York and ended up at a coffee shop called Happy Bones (@happybonesnyc). Later that night we headed to our hotel bar and ended with a night out on the town.
This day we kind of had a late start. We attended a meet and greet for another influencer featured in GQ. Yikes, I just realized I didn't tell you the main reason we're in New York. So my friend @darrenwearsitwell had the opportunity to be featured in GQ, with four other male influencers, in partnership with Remy Martin. The reason we were in New York was for the GQ x Remy Martin NBA all-star watch party.
Ok, now back to our schedule. Once the meet and greet was over, I grabbed some ramen at a restaurant across the street from the hotel. Later that evening we went to the watch party and had a blast. I think it's so important to celebrate accomplishments and that's exactly what we did. You can find @darrenwearsitwell in the February and March issue of GQ. If you spot him don't be afraid to tag him.
Our final day in New York was pretty chill, we grabbed breakfast, then headed to the airport. This trip was definitely one for the books, it felt so good to be back on the east coast with some familiarity. I'm so excited for my next trip!
